Do you provide PR material for emails and to solicit ads?

Yes. Once you sign up a dropbox folder is sent to you. Open the folder called PR material.

How many ads can the calendar hold?

There are 13 months with a banner under each month. The banner is normally split into 3 to hold 3 business cards. That is 39 business cards total.
Prior and after most months there are some empty squares (Example: if the month starts on Tuesday then Sunday and Monday are empty). There are roughly 50-60 empty boxes. They can be split into one box ads, two box ads (a business card made smaller), or 3 box ads etc.

What happened if i sold too many ads?

Have no fear! We can help make it work. We have some templates that allow an additional 3 ads per month (in place of the artwork text). We also have a smaller calendar table/grid that allows for 3 ads on bottom of the calendar.

Are there full page ads?

The calendar has 4 pages for your customization. These pages can be used for a full page ad, half page ad or quarter page ad. Or you can drop in one of our recipe pages, create a photo collage, or add a Rabbis letter. The back page is also available for this. Most Chabad houses use it as a self mailer which takes up a quarter of the page.

What size is a full page ad?

11 wide x 8.5 tall (with a .25 bleed if you want it to fill the page - otherwise we will shrink it a bit)

What size is a half page ad?

5.5 wide x 8.5 tall (with a .25 bleed if you want it to fill half the page - We might shrink it a bit to fit nicely on the page)

What size is a quarter page ad?

5.5 wide x 4.25 tall (with a .25 bleed if you want it to fill the page - We might shrink it a bit to fit nicely on the page)

How many business cards can fit on a full page?

The width of the page can hold 3 cards. The height of the page can hold 4 cards. So a total of 12 card. It might be easy to actualy make a grid like this to help you work out which ads can fit on the page together.

What is the size of a calendar box ad?

1.4" wide x 1.4" tall  (Add .05 for every box u merge - 2 Calendar boxes together will be 2.85" x 1.4")

What is the size of a business card ad?

3.5 wide x 2 tall

What is the size of a full banner?

10.5 wide x 2 inches tall

What is the size of a half banner?

We don't recommend selling this size ad. Bc it will leave odd empty spaces along side a business card ad. If you do sell it the size is 5.25 wide x 2 inches tall.

If i pay for customization do I also pay the template fee?

Yes. They are separate fees.

 

Shipping, Printing and Mailing

How long does it take for customization?

For standard customization allow 4-5 days.

 

How long does printing take?

  IMPORTANT – printing takes approx. 7 Business days. During “Heavy Traffic” time it can take a few more business days. So please plan accordingly so you can have your calendars in time for when you need them.

  • Heavy Traffic Time:
    • 10 Business days prior to September
    • 10 Business days prior to Rosh Hashana

How long does shipping take?

Varies depending on the method. So allow 5+ days to make sure you can get it in time.

So in total how many days do i need from when i give the files to customize until its in peoples homes?

You should allow a bit over a month for the process from A to Z. It can take a bit less at times... Or a bit more at times...
Lots of these areas are beyond our control and we try our hardest to make sure everything is as fast as possible.
Best to give yourself ample time instead of creating an emergency.
