We were honored to Host Omer and his father for Chanukah and Menorah Lighting.
A powerful evening of unity filled a packed room of nearly 500 community members as Omer Shem Tov stood before us and declared, “I am a free man.”
The atmosphere was deeply moving, filled with strength, faith, and togetherness on the third night of Chanukah.
Omer shared how prayer and his faith in G‑d helped him survive 505 days of captivity. Simply being in his presence was heartwarming and comforting. His words, grounded in belief, gratitude, and hope, were exactly what our community needed to hear to help navigate these troubling times.
Omer is a beacon of light for Am Yisrael. He passed on that flame to all of us—to begin each day with prayer, to be thankful for our blessings, and to deepen our connection to Judaism. We are the light. And together, we can bring light to the world.
